Information for Beginning Teacher Coordinators

New teachers want and need a variety of supports—emotional, procedural, technical and instructional—and no one person can provide all these supports.

Center induction activities include face-to-face meetings complemented and enhanced by an electronic network developed for beginning teachers, ongoing professional development for mentors, and opportunities for principals to focus on their role in new teacher development.
