The Center for the Support of Beginning Teachers held a two-day Induction Symposium August 16-17, 2005 for approximately 120 beginning teachers in eight school systems. Keynote speakers were author Rick Smith (“Conscious Classroom Management: Bringing out the Best in Students and Teachers”) and Union County Schools PE Teacher Kim Cooke (“Teaching with the Heart and Brain”).
