Capturing Stills from a Scanner

The scanner must be turned on before the computer is started. If the computer is already active, turn on the scanner and then restart the computer.

Open the Ofoto Scanner Software. As the movie shows, the application can be found in its folder or also as Ofoto on the Launcher screen. Once the application is started place the image to be scanned under the scanner lid and click the Pre-scan button.
Crop the Scan.
Save the Scan. With this version of the scanner, if the image needs to be linked in a web page, save the file in PICT format. Next, open the GIF Converter program and have this program open the PICT file and save as GIF or JPEG as appropriate to type of image that was digitized. If moving the image to a windows environment, use GIF Converter to save in BMP or TIFF formats as appropriate.
