Using Apple's Quicktake 150 Digital Still Camera

This camera is available for faculty use in our courses through the College of Education and Allied Professions. Make requests for use from Barb Parris (227-7311), Dean's Office, College of Education and Allied Professions. If you would like to use this camera with the Macintosh computer in your office, use the disks in its box to install the software on your computer first.
  1. Turn the camera on and check its batterypack power the day before you intend to use it to have ample time to charge the battery. The camera can also be recharged by inserting three lithium batteries or three NiCad (Nickel-Cadmium) batteries. Do not mix  different types of batteries.
  2. Use the button on top the the camera to shoot an image. The camera can hold 32 low resolution and 16 high resolution images. The camera must be emptied of images before new ones can be recorded.
  3. Start the Camera's Photoflash Software
  4. Move Image from Digital Camera to Computer.
  5. Center the Image
  6. Resize an Image
  7. Paste an Image in a Paint or Draw program for further editing.
  8. Save the Results of your Image Cropping.
  9. Paste an Image in a Paint or Draw program for further editing.
  10. Use the GIF Converter or the Graphics Converter applications to convert the image to GIF or JPEG (JPG) format for web use. See an example of camera output below.
