The movies move along quickly. At the bottom of the movie display is the controller bar. Use the Pause button to stop, practice something in Word on outlining and then wind it back to replay that part or click the play button to continue.
You need to be growing your efficiency with these skills, not fumbling around trying to remember what to do. Practice!
You may practice writing this essay ahead of time, but come the exam you will write your thinking from memory. This essay asks you to demonstrate skills using the higher order thinking skill of comparison, a thinking skill introduced in chapter four. Use the link in Chapter four to go back into CROP's Think section in which we covered higher order thinking skills in detail to re-read this definition. Review the information on comparison and review how to respond to a comparison question.

During the test in the lab you may use a word processor or write long-hand on your own lined paper. If you use a word processor, use normal 12 point type. You will write a response during the exam limited to one full page of paper single spaced or two pages double spaced. You will print out or write out your essay when you are finished and attach it to the back of your exam. Grammar and spelling are a part of this grade.
If you write by hand, write a two page response and please write legibly. I expect many items of comparison in your response, balancing both your consideration of similarities and differences. Practice writing this before you get to class. Do not treat this essay topic as if it is an evaluation question. Make sure you understand the difference. Discussion of similarities includes language such as: both, either, each, neither. Discussion of differences includes the language such as less, more, and many -er related terms such as greater, faster, slower, etc.

Differences A mouse is much faster in pointing to an area of the screen. A mouse cannot enter text but a keyboard can. A keyboard costs more. A mouse weighs less. Keyboards are bumpier and heavier.
