Internet2 Makes Real Issues in Science Fun!
Many students turn off to science beginning at the Middle School level. They fail to make connection with the real world and its resources. Many of the world's fascinating tools are scarce and beyond their reach and experience. Internet2 bandwidth and new technologies have come together to enable microscope views live over the Internet. Such access can include the electronic microscope. The electron microscope provides incredibly high resolution of the smallest of objects. Lehigh University has been a pioneer in electron microscopy and used that background to make public school access possible as well.
